The result of thoughtful design and craftsmanship, the Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 offers the perfect balance of elegance, space and performance.
Its philosophy? To make sailing and mooring pleasurable. And oh how she does!
Following in the wake of her bigger sister the Oceanis 51.1, this 40 foot cruiser offers unrivalled deck volume and interior space with absolutely no concessions to cruising performance.
Perfect for families, couples and experienced sailors, this versatile cruiser is perfectly adaptable to fit the most demanding sailor’s requirements while also satisfying their need for comfort and pleasure under sail.
True to the form of all Beneteau boats, the focus of this vessel is comfort and easy manoeuvring. With twin rudders and bow thruster.
Life at anchor
Nothing beats the joy of life at anchor.
The ergonomics and free flow of the cockpit make life on board relaxing and enjoyable.
Feel like going for a swim? The transom easily converts to an extensive swim platform with drop down swim ladder and Hot/ Cold swim shower when you exit the water. Having access to the sea is an integral part of life on a sailing yacht.
12 metres of space
With her innovative flared hull design and chines that extend over a third of the bow, the Beneteau Oceanis 40.1 has broken new ground with no concessions.
The result is a hull that has true speed and is stiff under sail. Larger boats are rarely known for their agility or speed, but what’s good about all this space is that it hasn’t come at the expense of her performance or handling. On the water, her twin rudders have grip in abundance. Even when well-heeled, she stays in control and responsive to the helm – just what you want from a coastal cruiser.
And above the waterline, her deck-plan and extremely spacious interior is unheard of in a boat this size.
Staying true to their philosophy of making sailing and mooring pleasurable, the strength of this cruiser is definitely its space. The cockpit is much bigger than typical for a boat of this length, and the two L-shaped benches on either side are unobstructed as the halyard winches and mainsail sheets are on the coach roof. Her angled coamings, low coach roof and clear side decks also make moving around the vessel easy.
You cannot help but feel like you are on board a 45 foot cruiser when you’re on this boat!
A modern interior space
Created by Italian designers Nauta, the styling of the interior cabins oozes ambiance. The remarkably light living spaces have been cleverly arranged to optimise both style and comfort. She comes with three cabins and a C-shaped galley on the starboard side, offering plenty of storage and a spacious worktop.
On the port side, there is a large saloon table and bench seat. A chart table at the foot of the companionway also provides a great working space. The three spacious berths are complemented by a combined large head and separate shower cubicle. Everything under deck is modular, so that everyone can live the way they want and enjoy sailing wherever the wind takes them.
The hatches and the many hulls and coachroof portholes fill the boat with natural light and fresh air, making her exceptionally bright. You really do feel like you’re entering a much larger boat!
Couples and large families will feel right at home when they step onto this boat.
